Gospel Flower

Did this for devotion at a playgroup that I attend and also at Sunday School during songs. It's not my idea. It was by a Christian balloon twister, Ralph Dewey. Very simple and puts the message across.

Yellow, black, white, red and green of the same size for the petals. One almost fully inflated purple for the stem.

Yellow : Golden streets of heaven that God has prepared for us.
Black : Sin that has separated us from God and thus unable to enter heaven.
White : God's desire to clease us from sin and make us pure again.
Red : Is for the blood that Jesus shed on the cross for our sin.
Green : Just like the trees and grass that grow, so should we as Christians who trust and believe in Him.
Purple : colour of royalty to represent God who is the Lord of lords and King of kings. Jesus died on the cross to bring man and God together. A reminder to let Him take charge and be the centre of everything.

May you get to know the true meaning behind the cross this Easter.

Cow

 Moooo!

Finally made a cow. For some unknown reason, I've been meaning to make a cow since half a year ago. Never got round to doing it. Why? I don't know. Every time I sat down to make something, the cow slipped my mind. So, just a few days a go, I decided that I'm putting all other learning projects on hold and make myself a cow.

This brown one was made from memory of pictures I had seen on internet. Not too bad, for a first attempt. But the horns didn't seem right, so I thought I had better look for some instructions on how to make the horns.

And so, I came upon Ralph Dewey's cow head instructions on BalloonHQ and followed it. So now, the cow looks a lot more decent, doesn't it?!

Ok, I did recycle the mouth balloon. :)

And the colour change? Well, that was because my 5 y.o. insisted that cows are white. I told her that the cows we see in the farms and big grasslands were all brown or black. But no, it has to be white.

So, white it is and I think I'm quite happy with this. :)

Duck with 5" heart

Bought some 5" hearts in my last balloon purchase a and gave this duck a try. Was too lazy to get a 160Q out of the bag, so a 260Q substituted it. It would look better with the 160Q. Sigh.. It doesn't pay to be lazy!

Instructions from Ralph Dewey here.
